The objective of the Project is to ensure provision of customer oriented quality products and service by complying with the recommended quality practices and standards as set out by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
This project will assist Lesotho to meet her obligations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) by preparing the National Communication (TNC) Report. National Communications set as a basis for climate change programmes/activities in the country and can used by various institutions to implement projects, not only of climate change, but also projects of developmental nature.
This project will undertake and update the third GHG inventory of Lesotho and identify appropriate mitigation options. It will also design and setup Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system in an effort to track progress relating to emission reductions. The project will be implemented over a period of 3 years from 2017 to 2019.
The Government of Lesotho received technical assistance from the European Union to support the country to set up the required policy and institutional framework to reverse environmental degradation and adapt to climate change as set in the NSDP 2012/13 - 2016/17
The Africa Adaptation Program (AAP) was funded by a grant of US$ 92 million from the Government of Japan, administered by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and implemented in 20 countries across Africa.

The aim of the project is to strengthen and coordinate the efforts to combat climate change and address its adverse effects. The project is funded by the Government of Italy and will be implemented over a period of 5 years starting from April 2017
